Its that time again where I just feel the need to share valuable links (or simply bookmark some for future reference)
- Chicago Media Future - Although now its simply a no thrills, static splash page, I’m sure this will become a destination site for Chicago Media geeks! Gotta come back and check it out!

- Word Spy - Site dedicated to recently coined words and existing words revived into modern usage, i.e.tweetup - n. A real world meeting between two or more people who know each other through the online Twitter service!
- Seesmic Desktop - Although I’m NOT a seesmic fan…I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll dig this application! Can’t wait to give it a try!

This video pretty much sums up my love/hate with social networking! Admittedly I may be guilty of “documenting” events as they happen and posting them online while out with friends- BUT- I’m aware that its rude and try to keep it to a minimum.
Meeting folks from twitter has been AWESOME! But the same medium that enabled us to gather and meet also is the one annoyance I have with twitterati. When together are we not suppose to interact? Can we put the mobile devices down to chat in real-time face to face?
Well- this video pretty much sums up the whole social networking “thing” and issues I’ve seen developing due to technologies.
Just as with anything in life- everything in moderation seems to be key.
“Lets make technologies that make people MORE human and not less!”

Links + Fonts = This Post
Again I’ve fallen behind on posts, links & recommendations. So…here’s a quickie post of stuff I’ve been jotting down…
- Ecofont - Ecofont was born when designers were searching for a way to save ink from letters/fonts while maintaining their legibility. It’s a simple enough design, free font and I’m sure I can find a project where it’ll fit perfectly.
- FontCubes - I’ve recently fallen in love with fonts again…so font cubes has been a must visit site for me. Yes, I know free fonts have been given a bad reputation and more often than not, it’s been proven to be true. But I like digging around for experimental fonts, so that’s a keeper.
- Exljbris - Read an article, jotted this down site down, took a peek - decided I must come back.
- Typographica - typography news, fonts & visuals
- FontFont Catalogue - Self-Explanatory
- Font T-shirt - :) want
